Shaylie: Mom, is Santa going to come tonight?
Me: Nope, sorry, not tonight.
Shaylie: But puh-leassee?? I put my stocking out!
Sure enough, the stockings were all lined up on the couch just waiting for Santa again. She's got ants in her pants because she knows Kris Kringle will come on New Years Eve, she just doesn't know when New Year's Eve is.
